Coaches Corner / FAQ

 

Managers/Coaches Important information below:

All players need to be “Checked in” before the first bracket game of your division.  Players can Register on Friday at the Registration Party or on Saturday at your Softball complex.  The player must have a Proper ID – No Exceptions! – Reminder, No “Check In” on Sunday!!!

The Ice Breaker – Round Robin schedule is now available on our website www.orlandomeltdown.com (home page) or (Click Here) – VERIFY YOUR COMPLEX!

Round Robin Games:

  • 3 RR games for each team…  We tried to minimize wait times…  With 5 Divisions, we did our best…
  • Coin Flip for the home team
  • 50 Min Drop Dead – The score is recorded at that time.  It does not revert to the previous inning.
  • No Run Rule for any Round Robin games

Fields

  • C & Women’s Comp Divisions – All games played at Seminole Softball Complex
  • D Division – RR games at both complexes.  Bracket games at Seminole Softball Complex
  • E & Women’s D – All games played Lake Fairview

*** NO alcohol or animals within complex or team dugouts***

Roster updates need to be emailed to contact@orlandomeltdown.com by 1/10/24 5 pm, Wednesday

Line Up Cards & Scorebooks

Scorebooks and Line-Up cards can be found inside your manager’s packet!  You will pick up the packet before your first RR game.  Additional line-up cards will be available at the information table during the tournament.

Rules of Play

Rules of play can be found online, and a copy is included in the manager’s packet.  All modifications are listed.  All other rules are governed by USA/ASA rules. – https://orlandomeltdown.com/rules-of-play/

MVP Gift

One (1) MVP Golf Towel will be given out to the winning team of each game played. This includes the Round Robin games.  To claim, the coach or manager needs to come to the information table…

Player Registration (Check-in)

  • All players MUST be “Check in” before the First Bracket game of your division. No “Check In” on Sunday.
  • Visit the registration table at your complex or Friday’s Registration Party
  • Players must present a valid ID at Check-in
  • Manager must review and sign off their team’s roster.
  • Receive a Manager’s Packet with goodies at the Registration table at your complex.
  • All rosters will be viewable to Managers, including if a player “Checked in or Not”

Tourney Machine, which allows for real-time Pool Play, Live Brackets, and updates.

  • To download the app on your mobile device, search for Tourney Machine
  • Open the Tourney Machine App
  • Click Search for an Event.
  • Select your Sport = Softball
  • Select your Location = Florida
  • Select the Week
  • Tap the “Orlando Meltdown” event to load the tournament.
